Personal Assistant to the Proprietor – Support a school’s leadership with administrative and organisational excellence.

The Opportunity:
As a Personal Assistant to the Proprietor, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth running of a school focused on nurturing vulnerable young people. This role is integral to maintaining a calm, safe, and well-functioning environment that aligns with the school’s mission of empowering students to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex schedules, documentation, and communication with accuracy and sensitivity.
- Provide high-quality administrative support that contributes to a calm and well-functioning school environment.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including staff, parents, and external agencies, to ensure seamless operations.
- Support the Proprietor in maintaining effective systems and processes that align with the school’s values and mission.
- Communicate empathetically and build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Assist in the implementation of trauma-informed practices across the school community.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of pastoral and academic strategies that support student wellbeing.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in providing high-quality administrative and organisational support in an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage complex schedules and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Understanding of trauma-informed practices and their application in a school environment.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a supportive and inclusive culture.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or associated challenges.
- Knowledge of educational frameworks and policies related to SEND/SEMH.
- Experience in a school setting that prioritises student wellbeing and emotional regulation.
- Familiarity with pastoral care and support strategies for vulnerable young people.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £20,000 - £27,000.
