Personal Assistant to the Proprietor – Support a school’s leadership with administrative and organisational excellence.

The Opportunity:

As a Personal Assistant to the Proprietor, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth running of a school focused on nurturing vulnerable young people. This role is integral to maintaining a calm, safe, and well-functioning environment that aligns with the school’s mission of empowering students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex schedules, documentation, and communication with accuracy and sensitivity.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support that contributes to a calm and well-functioning school environment.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including staff, parents, and external agencies, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support the Proprietor in maintaining effective systems and processes that align with the school’s values and mission.
  • Communicate empathetically and build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Assist in the implementation of trauma-informed practices across the school community.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of pastoral and academic strategies that support student wellbeing.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in providing high-quality administrative and organisational support in an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage complex schedules and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practices and their application in a school environment.
  • Commitment to the values of Collaboration, Aspiration, Resilience, and Empowerment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a supportive and inclusive culture.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or associated challenges.
  • Knowledge of educational frameworks and policies related to SEND/SEMH.
  • Experience in a school setting that prioritises student wellbeing and emotional regulation.
  • Familiarity with pastoral care and support strategies for vulnerable young people.
