Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Product Design to A Level and equivalent courses.
- Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in design and engineering.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and maintain innovative teaching resources.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students within the department.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Supervise and mentor students during practical and project-based learning.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate them into teaching.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular and enrichment activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Product Design or related subjects.
- Ability to teach A Level Product Design and Engineering A Level Equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student support and pastoral care.
- Willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred
- Experience in sixth form teaching or Early Careers Teacher (ECT) with a training plan.
- Knowledge of design engineering, architecture, or spatial design.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Familiarity with IT and digital tools used in design education.
