As a Personal Development Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in empowering students through dynamic and impactful personal development sessions. This is an ideal opportunity for an inspiring and student-focused individual to support learners in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Participation and Development sessions that engage students of all academic levels.
  • Support students in achieving personal development goals that prepare them for further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
  • Work collaboratively with college staff, parents, and carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
  • Promote student voice and enrichment through meaningful engagement and advocacy.
  • Develop and implement programmes that address barriers to learning and encourage personal growth.
  • Maintain excellent communication and organisational skills across all aspects of the role.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture that values fairness, compassion, and integrity.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching and support strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent subject knowledge in PSHE-related topics and/or experience in youth work and advocacy.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Experience in delivering engaging and dynamic programmes to students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Knowledge of student voice initiatives and enrichment opportunities.
  • Experience in developing and delivering personal growth and development programmes.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
