Seeking a Physical Education Teacher (Girls) for a temporary role until Easter 2027.

We are looking for an inspirational and innovative Physical Education Teacher (Girls) to join a high-achieving department. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4, and to contribute to a vibrant extra-curricular programme that supports student development and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Physical Education lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4, including GCSE and BTEC Sport qualifications
  • Support and develop students’ physical and personal development through a wide range of sporting opportunities
  • Contribute to the delivery and management of a successful extra-curricular enrichment programme
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the continued success and growth of the PE department
  • Inspire, challenge, and motivate students to achieve excellence in sport and physical education
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student progress and achievement
  • Support the ongoing development of the curriculum and assessment strategies in PE
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and personal best

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Excellent classroom and practical teaching skills, both indoors and outdoors
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to the value and importance of PE and sport
  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate students
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE and BTEC Sport qualifications
  • Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular sporting activities
  • Leadership experience within a PE department
  • Experience in working with a diverse range of students
  • Knowledge of current developments in sport and physical education
