Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across all key stages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement agreed Schemes of Work to the highest standard.
  • Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the PE department.
  • Promote a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that supports physical literacy and student engagement.
  • Support and lead a strong extra-curricular programme in sport and physical activity.
  • Encourage positive behaviours and a lifelong appreciation of sport and physical activity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall student experience.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of school facilities for teaching and extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective PE lessons.
  • Experience working with students of all abilities and ages.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and the promotion of physical activity.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular sport programmes.
  • Knowledge of current PE curriculum trends and best practices.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
  • Familiarity with sport and fitness facilities management.
