Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a high-performing PE team, ensuring excellence in teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a creative and engaging PE curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Promote a culture of physical activity and healthy lifestyles across the school community.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align PE with school-wide educational goals.
- Support the professional development of PE staff and provide mentorship where needed.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement in PE.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of school facilities and resources.
- Represent the PE department at staff meetings, parent events, and external forums.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a proven track record in team development.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning in PE.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment in a school setting.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership role within a school or educational institution.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in PE and school sports.
- Experience with extra-curricular activities and sports programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
