The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Physical Education Teacher (Rugby Specialist) to join our team and lead a dynamic PE programme that fosters a love of sport and fitness. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students and may include leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality PE lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver curriculum and schemes of work.
• Support pupils academically and physically, including preparation for assessments where applicable.
• Lead or participate in extra-curricular activities, sports teams, and school events.
• Analyse pupil performance data and act to ensure outstanding progress.
• Undertake pastoral and supervisory duties as required, including attendance at assemblies and school events.
• Develop high-quality, creative, and inclusive PE activities that align with the school's curriculum.
• Contribute to the school’s ethos and reputation as a positive role model.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Excellent knowledge of the UK National Curriculum or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
• Minimum of two years’ relevant teaching experience.
• Good degree from a recognised university.
• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire pupils and foster a love of sport and learning.
• Willingness to contribute to all aspects of school life.

Preferred

• Experience teaching pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
• Experience working in the independent school sector.
• Emerging leadership qualities and potential for future leadership roles.
