The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher of Business Studies (Secondary) to join its Senior School team. This role offers the chance to shape young minds and contribute to a thriving academic community. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to act as a Form Tutor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of Years 10 to 13 students.
• Foster a culture of high expectations and a passion for Business Studies.
• Collaborate with the department to plan curriculum and schemes of work.
• Support pupils academically, including preparation for external examinations.
• Undertake pastoral and supervisory duties as required.
• Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events.
• Develop high-quality, creative subject-specific activities.
• Analyse assessment data to ensure outstanding pupil progress.
• Contribute to the school’s image and ethos as a positive role model.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Excellent working knowledge of the UK National Curriculum or equivalent.
• High levels of subject knowledge in Business Studies.
• A minimum of two years’ relevant teaching experience.
• A good degree from a recognised university.
• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire pupils and foster a love of learning.
• Willingness to contribute fully to all aspects of school life.

Preferred

• Experience teaching pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
• Experience working in the independent school sector.
• Emerging leadership qualities and potential for future leadership roles.
