Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Psychology lessons aligned with the AQA A Level syllabus.
  • Develop and implement effective curriculum materials to support student learning.
  • Promote a love of Psychology through inspiring and challenging teaching practices.
  • Support students in developing research methods and statistical skills relevant to the subject.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental culture and raise attainment.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities, including clubs, societies, and revision sessions.
  • Foster a culture of practical experiments and high academic standards.
  • Work as a team member within the department and across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good degree in an appropriate subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching Psychology at KS5 level.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theory and research methods.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Demonstrable understanding of statistics in Psychology.
  • Experience in developing and delivering curriculum materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
