The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Physics or Chemistry Teacher to join its Science Faculty on a one-year fixed-term contract. This teaching-only role allows the candidate to focus entirely on classroom practice, with no co-curricular or pastoral responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics, Chemistry, or a combination of both, depending on expertise and school needs.
  • Deliver engaging and academically rigorous lessons to students across a wide age range, including GCSE and Sixth Form.
  • Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively to pupils of all abilities.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing Science Faculty.
  • Support the school’s commitment to academic excellence and intellectual curiosity through innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, or both.
  • Experience in teaching at secondary or Sixth Form level.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and academically rigorous lessons.
  • Excellent communication skills for teaching students of all abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Familiarity with A Level and International Baccalaureate curricula.
  • Experience with practical science teaching and laboratory work.
