The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Drama Tutor to support the school’s extracurricular and academic Drama provision. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in teaching and theatre, while contributing to the school’s vibrant arts program. The ideal candidate will assist in running clubs, supporting school productions, and delivering lessons to lower school groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of Drama lessons to lower school groups.
• Assist in running Drama and/or Musical Theatre clubs.
• Contribute to the planning and administration of theatre trips and events.
• Help with costume, props, and direction for school productions.
• Collaborate with class teachers to design and develop Drama lessons.
• Provide pastoral support to pupils where required.
• Raise the visibility of Dance across the school.
• Assist in the management of extracurricular Drama activities after school and in the evenings.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Graduate or equivalent qualification.
• Willingness to gain experience in teaching or theatre.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching or theatre production.
• Knowledge of drama pedagogy and curriculum development.
• Experience with directing or managing school productions.
• Familiarity with costume and prop management.
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
