The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Physics Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive school community. This role involves teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 and contributing to the academic and pastoral development of students. The successful candidate will be part of a school committed to raising standards and nurturing future leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons that engage and challenge students across all key stages
  • Support subject leaders in developing and maintaining effective schemes of work and lesson plans
  • Monitor and report on student progress through internal and external assessments
  • Collaborate with the Head of Year to provide high-quality pastoral care and support
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s academic and pastoral priorities
  • Undertake supervision duties as part of the school’s duty rota
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching and learning practices

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good undergraduate degree in Physics
  • Demonstrated commitment and passion for teaching
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Effective management of student behaviour
  • Digital competence to utilise technology in lesson delivery

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Physics in a school setting
  • Experience in the independent school sector
  • Leadership or mentoring experience
  • Experience in curriculum development
