The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to teach across the full age and ability range, with potential for progression to Head of Physics. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students and contributing to a dynamic and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics across all key stages, ensuring high-quality and engaging lessons.
  • Deliver lessons that are academically challenging and aligned with the school’s high standards.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the Physics curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and extracurricular opportunities related to Physics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and with external partners.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to staff training and development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physics education.
  • Ability to teach across the full age and ability range.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or taking on leadership roles.
  • Experience in working with sixth form students and in partnership with other schools.
  • Involvement in co-curricular activities, such as Physics Society or STEM-related initiatives.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching methods.
