The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Physics Teacher or Trainee Physics Teacher to join a dynamic and collaborative department. This role offers the opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to also teach IB HL and A-levels. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inspiring the next generation of young scientists and committed to delivering high-quality education in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Key Stage 3 and 4 Physics, with the potential to also teach IB HL and A-levels.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that incorporate ICT and practical techniques.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in a busy and supportive department.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students through involvement in a House and tutor-group responsibilities.
- Participate actively in the school's extra-curricular and Activities programme.
- Support the continuous development of the Physics curriculum and teaching methods.
- Maintain strong administrative and organisational skills to manage a demanding workload.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics.
- Commitment to teaching and inspiring students.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Confidence in using ICT in the classroom.
- Experience with practical Physics techniques.
- Willingness to take on pastoral and extra-curricular responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Experience with IB HL or A-level Physics.
- Experience with trainee teacher support frameworks.
- Experience in a co-educational or boarding school environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
