The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Science and Computer Science Teacher to join our growing team. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student learning and development, while working in a school that is undergoing significant improvements and expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science and Computer Science lessons to Key Stage 3 students
- Foster a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and practical investigation
- Develop and implement engaging, inclusive, and innovative lesson plans
- Support students in developing digital literacy, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum
- Participate in the ongoing professional development of the department
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continued improvement
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science and/or Computer Science
- Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum and teaching methodologies
- Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusion
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience with Key Stage 3 teaching
- Background in delivering Computer Science education
- Experience with Continuing Professional Development
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art science and computer facilities
