The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Technology Teacher (Food Focus) to join our forward-thinking department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a school undergoing exciting developments and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons at KS3 and GCSE level (Eduqas qualification preferred).
  • Develop and implement engaging, practical lessons that align with the school’s vision and curriculum standards.
  • Manage and maintain a safe, well-organised learning environment.
  • Support the development of students’ practical and theoretical knowledge in Food Technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Technology and Science departments.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular and enrichment activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Food Technology.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Food Technology.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology, including the Eduqas GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition course.
  • Experience of teaching at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
  • Commitment to the school’s values, including high standards of behaviour and a focus on learning.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support the school’s mission.

Preferred

  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technology integration.
  • Experience working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Understanding of inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
