The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Personal Development and PSHE Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role is central to shaping students’ character and preparing them for life beyond school, with a focus on Responsibility, Respect, and Reflection. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real impact on student development and school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Personal Development, PSHE, and Philosophy and Ethics lessons that align with the school’s core values.
  • Foster a learning environment that encourages reflection, respect, and responsibility among students.
  • Develop and implement engaging curricula that support students’ personal growth and understanding of spiritual, moral, social, and cultural issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to student development across the school.
  • Support students in developing the skills and attitudes necessary for success in education and life.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school’s vision and mission.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with the school’s standards and expectations.
  • Provide pastoral support where appropriate and contribute to the well-being of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Personal Development, PSHE, and/or Philosophy and Ethics.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and student-centered teaching.
  • Commitment to the values of Responsibility, Respect, and Reflection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching students with a range of abilities and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on pastoral care and student well-being.
