The Opportunity:

As a Politics Lecturer, you will play a vital role in shaping student understanding of Government and Politics at A-Level. This is an opportunity to inspire, educate, and support learners in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Government and Politics to a range of AS/A Level classes.
  • Plan and deliver practical lessons that support student learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and track student progress effectively.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with subject teams.
  • Liaise with management and other staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
  • Act as a personal tutor and attend course tutor meetings when required.
  • Participate in staff development and training initiatives.
  • Use new learning technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience teaching Government and Politics at A-Level.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to student support and mentorship.
  • Experience with curriculum development and planning.

Preferred

  • Experience with new learning technologies in education.
  • Background in staff development or training.
  • Knowledge of current political and social issues.
  • Experience in using data to track student progress.
