The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic A Level Maths Teacher to join a dynamic department. The role offers the potential to lead the Mathematics team and shape the future of maths education. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in students’ academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach A-level Maths and Further Maths following the Edexcel specification.
  • Plan and carry out administrative tasks related to teaching.
  • Maintain accurate records and track student progress effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and collaborate with part-time colleagues.
  • Liaise with management and other staff as required.
  • Act as a personal tutor and attend course tutor meetings when necessary.
  • Participate in staff development and training programs.
  • Use new learning technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Adhere to all college policies including Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Quality Management.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in A-level Maths.
  • Ability to teach both A-level Maths and Further Maths.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and data tracking.
  • Experience in curriculum development and team collaboration.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a subject team or department.
  • Familiarity with new learning technologies.
  • Experience with the College Appraisal Scheme.
  • Background in staff development or industrial placements.
