The Opportunity:

As an ESOL Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging ESOL and Digital Skills classes to a diverse range of learners. This is an opportunity to inspire and support students in achieving their educational and career goals within a vibrant and forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality ESOL and Digital Skills classes to adult and 16-18 students.
  • Develop and implement dynamic and engaging teaching strategies and techniques.
  • Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Plan, assess, and maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Conduct education plan reviews in line with college requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with course leaders, teaching and learning coaches, and other staff to support student success.
  • Comply with all college policies and procedures related to teaching, learning, and administration.
  • Support the delivery of a wide range of teaching and learning initiatives across the college.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching experience in ESOL or related fields.
  • Strong classroom management and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
  • Ability to comply with college requirements including record-keeping and assessment.
  • Commitment to delivering dynamic and inspiring teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Digital Skills.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL).
  • Experience working with adult and 16-18 learners.
  • Experience with curriculum development and delivery.
  • Strong team working and communication skills.
