The Opportunity:
A Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Education is needed to support the development of a research centre dedicated to improving educational outcomes for boys. This role offers the chance to engage in impactful research, collaborate on innovative projects, and contribute to the dissemination of findings to academic and practitioner audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent research aligned with the Centre’s mission and goals.
- Collaborate with academic staff and researchers on multidisciplinary projects.
- Disseminate research findings through publications, presentations, and engagement with practitioners.
- Support the development of the Centre’s research programme and strategic direction.
- Contribute to the design and evaluation of educational interventions aimed at improving outcomes for boys.
- Participate in academic conferences and events to share research and build partnerships.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of research activities and outputs.
- Assist in the supervision of postgraduate students where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A PhD in Education or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting independent research.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to evidence-based research and educational improvement.
Preferred
- Experience in educational research focused on boys’ learning and development.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Experience in publishing academic work in peer-reviewed journals.
- Knowledge of educational policy and practice in the UK context.
- Experience in leading or contributing to research projects with external stakeholders.
