Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality, differentiated lessons across the curriculum
• Plan and prepare engaging and challenging teaching strategies for Year 2 students
• Work closely with the parallel teacher in a 2-form Year Group
• Teach a phonics group following the Read Write Inc program
• Assess, record, monitor and report on pupil progress
• Use ISAMs to track pupil development
• Support pupils in developing positive attitudes towards learning
• Implement the school’s behaviour policy and reward system
• Participate in school events and after-school activities
• Supervise pupils in the playground and during breaks

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in early years education
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Commitment to developing effective teaching strategies
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

Preferred

• Experience with the Read Write Inc phonics program
• Familiarity with ISAMs or similar pupil tracking systems
• Experience in pastoral care and student support
• Flexibility to participate in school events and extra-curricular activities
