Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the science department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all year groups.

- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to integrate science with other subjects and co-curricular activities.

- Work closely with parents and the wider school community to promote science education and engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring all pupils are challenged and supported effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading a science department in a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in science, with the ability to deliver engaging and innovative lessons.
- Experience in curriculum development and the ability to align teaching with educational standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, with the ability to work in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
Preferred
- Experience in a school that values innovation and technology in education.
- Familiarity with the Apple Distinguished School framework or similar educational initiatives.
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular science programs or clubs.
- A track record of fostering a collaborative and supportive teaching environment.
