The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Pre Prep Teaching Assistant to support the learning and development of young students. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and child development and is ready to contribute to a dynamic and successful school community. The position includes opportunities to work within the wraparound care programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Assist with the management of classroom activities and student behavior.
  • Provide individualized support to students with additional needs.
  • Contribute to the wraparound care programme, including after-school supervision and holiday support.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a consistent and positive learning environment.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos through daily interactions with students and families.
  • Participate in staff development and training initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • A warm, positive, and patient approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including during after-school hours and school holidays.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or early years setting.
  • Previous experience with wraparound care or after-school programmes.
  • Knowledge of child development and best practices in early education.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum or similar educational frameworks.
