The Opportunity:

As a Primary Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering inclusive classroom environments, and guiding students academically and emotionally. This role is central to shaping young learners and aligning teaching with the school’s mission and curriculum frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge and IPC frameworks using inquiry-based strategies and differentiated instruction.
  • Plan and assess learning through high-quality units, formative and summative assessments, and meaningful student reports.
  • Provide pastoral care by building supportive relationships and promoting students’ social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, communicate with parents, and participate in school events and professional development.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
  • Work closely with Learning Support staff to ensure all students receive appropriate assistance.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and implement best practices in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS) and experience teaching Primary-aged learners.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge Curriculum and/or IPC.
  • Experience supporting EAL learners and working in diverse classroom contexts.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to high-quality teaching.
  • A passion for child-centred education and reflective practice.

Preferred

  • Experience with inquiry-based learning and the effective use of technology in the classroom.
  • Background in international education or teaching in a multicultural environment.
  • Leadership experience or interest in moving into leadership roles.
