Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning by assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to enhance their learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers.
  • Assist in the management of classroom resources and equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour management strategies.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and diversity by fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent and effective student support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or support role within a primary school setting.
  • A commitment to the school’s values of happiness, industry, and responsibility.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in supporting students with a range of learning needs.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Knowledge of current teaching methodologies and best practices in primary education.
  • Experience in using digital tools and resources to support teaching and learning.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on student outcomes.
