Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning by assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to enhance their learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers.
- Assist in the management of classroom resources and equipment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour management strategies.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and diversity by fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent and effective student support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in a teaching or support role within a primary school setting.
- A commitment to the school’s values of happiness, industry, and responsibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience in supporting students with a range of learning needs.
Preferred
- Experience in working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Knowledge of current teaching methodologies and best practices in primary education.
- Experience in using digital tools and resources to support teaching and learning.
- A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on student outcomes.
