The Opportunity:
As Vice Principal, you will play a key role in leading and supporting the school's mission to ensure students are confident, articulate, and resilient by the age of 11. This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about education, student progress, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the school’s vision, values, and strategic goals.
- Work closely with the Principal to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
- Oversee the management and development of staff, including performance management and professional development.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning across the school.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support a positive school culture and environment.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and the wider community to build strong relationships and support student success.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Support the school’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, ideally as a Vice Principal or Deputy Head.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive improvement in teaching and learning outcomes.
- Experience in managing and developing staff, including performance management and CPD.
- Knowledge of school operations, policies, and procedures.
- Commitment to the school’s values of commitment, enjoyment, and teamwork.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a focus on early years or primary education.
- Experience with innovative teaching strategies and feedback systems.
- Familiarity with flexible working policies and staff well-being initiatives.
- Experience in leading or supporting diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives.
