The Opportunity:

As SEN Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities. This position is central to ensuring that all students receive the tailored support they need to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the provision of support for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCo and other staff to ensure effective deployment of support staff and robust systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve outcomes for students with SEND.
  • Liaise with parents, students, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support is provided.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support provision and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices in supporting students with SEND.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures related to SEND are followed consistently across the school.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive teaching and learning practices across the institution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing and supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and external agencies.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND and school-based support processes.
  • Commitment to inclusion and high-quality teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or management role within education.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and classroom-based research.
  • Familiarity with current SEND legislation and policy.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training for staff on SEND-related topics.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: £33,199 - £34,086.
  • 36 hours per week across 39 weeks per year.
