Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and well-being.
  • Utilise technology, including 1:1 devices and interactive tools, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and sustainability initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and support learning at home.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and leadership skills.
  • Support the school's mission by promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices in the classroom.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that enrich the student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor of Primary Education or a relevant degree with PGCE or PGDE (or an equivalent teaching qualification).
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2 in the National Curriculum for England.
  • Strong interest in career development, leadership, and sustainability.
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent IT and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and parents.
  • UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching technologies such as AR and AI.
  • Background in sustainability or community-based education initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and leading professional development sessions for colleagues.
  • Familiarity with the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) and its educational standards.
