Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective PE and swimming lessons across all key stages
• Lead and manage the school’s outstanding Swim ECA programme, including training and galas
• Ensure students achieve sustained progress in swimming and physical education
• Support the development of a creative, innovative, and inclusive learning environment
• Promote the well-being and pastoral care of all students
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning strategies
• Stay up to date with safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Participate in professional development and pedagogical discussions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the teaching subject or equivalent
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Recognised Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification (e.g. Swim England Level 2, STA Level 2) or equivalent
• Proven experience in primary swim teaching
• Experience teaching PE and swimming across Foundation Stage, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two

Preferred

• Experience leading extracurricular swim programmes
• Strong track record in delivering inspirational lessons
• Experience in safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Commitment to student well-being and pastoral care
• Innovative and creative teaching approach
