The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reception and Nursery Teacher (FS1/FS2) to join our dynamic Early Years team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners, while contributing to a school that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, child-centred teaching in FS1 or FS2, aligned with the school’s “Best by Every Child” ethos
- Plan and implement engaging, innovative lessons that support sustained progress and achievement
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes the wellbeing and pastoral care of all children
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development
- Uphold and implement safeguarding and child protection procedures with the highest standards
- Contribute positively to the wider school community through active participation in events and initiatives
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, ensuring outcomes are consistently strong and aligned with curriculum expectations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant teaching discipline
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience in teaching FS1 or FS2 with a track record of delivering strong pupil outcomes
- Secure understanding of Early Years pedagogy and child development
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection procedures
Preferred
- Experience in delivering inspirational teaching and fostering a love of learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and take on additional responsibilities
- Experience with pastoral care and supporting the emotional and social development of young children
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England and its adaptation to an international context
