The Opportunity:

A Primary School Class Teacher - Key Stage 1 is needed to support young learners in developing strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and personal growth. This role is central to fostering a love of learning through engaging, developmentally appropriate teaching practices aligned with the National Curriculum for England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver rich, engaging learning experiences aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Create a safe, joyful, and inclusive learning environment that supports the emotional and academic growth of young learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure a holistic and supportive approach to student development.
  • Plan and assess learning through developmentally appropriate practices that encourage exploration and structured play.
  • Foster a classroom culture that promotes independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
  • Support the school’s mission by integrating ecological awareness and sustainability into daily teaching practices.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians to support student progress and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Native-level English language skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor's degree with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching Key Stages 1 and/or 2 in British schools
  • A track record of outstanding teaching and learning, and an ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment

Preferred

  • Experience with project-based and experiential learning
  • Familiarity with ecological education and sustainability principles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
