The Opportunity:

As a Primary School Class Teacher Key Stage 2, you will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds through a curriculum that blends academic excellence with a strong ecological and social awareness. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned lessons that promote academic progress and personal development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support student learning, including differentiated instruction and formative assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to support student success and maintain strong home-school partnerships.
  • Engage students in experiential and outdoor learning opportunities that align with the school’s ecological mission.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help learners achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote sustainability, environmental awareness, and social responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Native-level English language skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching Key Stages 1 and/or 2 in British schools.
  • Proven ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for England.

Preferred

  • Experience with project-based and experiential learning.
  • Background in environmental or ecological education.
  • Familiarity with outdoor learning and the use of natural environments in teaching.
  • Commitment to sustainability, social justice, and environmental stewardship.
