The Opportunity:
This is a unique and transformational role for a Primary Teacher - Strong Foundations, focused on strengthening the four pillars of the Ofsted Inspection Framework: Reading, Writing, Oracy, and Early Numeracy. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing a bespoke curriculum and supporting students with varying levels of foundational knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver a bespoke curriculum tailored to student needs.
- Lead evidence-informed interventions to improve student outcomes.
- Support colleagues in developing expertise aligned with whole school priorities.
- Establish robust systems for assessing and tracking student progress.
- Work collaboratively with existing literacy and inclusion expertise.
- Ensure all students receive systematic support to thrive academically.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to excellence in foundational skills.
- Help sustain improvement in student achievement across key areas.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
- Strong knowledge of reading, writing, oracy, and early numeracy.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Commitment to improving student outcomes through evidence-based practice.
Preferred
- Experience with students with SEND or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Leadership experience in educational settings.
- Familiarity with the Ofsted Inspection Framework.
- Experience in developing and tracking student progress.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
