As a Preparatory Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in shaping confident, able, and responsible young people. You will work closely with Prep Teachers to create a nurturing and aspirational classroom environment that supports academic, social, and emotional growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of intellectually rigorous and engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Assist Prep Teachers in integrating locally mandated subjects with cultural sensitivity and purpose.
  • Provide targeted academic support to individual students and small groups to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Reinforce learning objectives and ensure all students are appropriately challenged and supported.
  • Support the use of educational technology to enhance learning and digital literacy.
  • Contribute to formative and summative assessment practices, including observations and record-keeping.
  • Adapt strategies to ensure inclusive access to learning for students requiring support, EAL assistance, or enrichment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised qualification equivalent to UK A-levels.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a classroom or educational support role.
  • Experience in a Cambridge International Curriculum school is preferred.

Preferred

  • Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
  • Understanding of COBIS standards and inspection expectations.
  • Experience in a British international school context.
