The Opportunity:

As a Principal, you will lead a specialist 11-19 academy at the forefront of STEM education. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader to drive excellence, inspire students, and shape the future of education in a dynamic and supportive multi-academy trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the school, ensuring a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement a clear vision for the school, aligned with the Trust’s mission and goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and personal development of all students.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, local businesses, and the wider community.
  • Promote a collaborative and innovative culture among staff, encouraging the sharing of best practices and professional development.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum with a strong focus on STEM and technical education.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the school, using data to drive decision-making and improvement.
  • Work closely with the Trust’s leadership team to support the strategic direction and growth of the academy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a senior leader in a secondary school setting.
  • A strong track record of success in improving student outcomes and school performance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • A clear vision for education and a commitment to STEM and technical learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative educational environment.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum or similar inquiry-based learning approaches.
  • Experience in developing and managing relationships with local employers and industry partners.
  • A passion for working in an urban, multicultural setting with a diverse student population.
