Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that challenge and motivate students.
  • Lead and support the development of the Maths curriculum and share best practices across the department.
  • Analyze student data to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to colleagues, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team on whole school improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Teaching & Learning Team to enhance pedagogical approaches and student achievement.
  • Ensure the Maths department remains aligned with the school’s vision and values.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Maths.
  • Proven experience in improving teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to support and develop colleagues.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or team.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative network.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
