Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that challenge and motivate students.
- Lead and support the development of the Maths curriculum and share best practices across the department.
- Analyze student data to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to colleagues, supporting their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team on whole school improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with the Teaching & Learning Team to enhance pedagogical approaches and student achievement.
- Ensure the Maths department remains aligned with the school’s vision and values.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in Maths.
- Proven experience in improving teaching and learning outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to support and develop colleagues.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative network.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
