The Opportunity:
As the Director of Learning - Mathematics, you will lead the strategic development of the Mathematics curriculum, ensuring that all students achieve their full potential. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of STEM education and inspire both staff and students to excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Mathematics curriculum to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Support and mentor Mathematics staff to improve instructional quality and student outcomes.
- Use data to inform teaching strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular links in STEM.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure all learners achieve their potential.
- Promote a culture of innovation and professional development within the department.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.
- Ensure the Mathematics department meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading a Mathematics department and delivering outstanding results.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- In-depth knowledge of Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy.
- Experience in using data to drive teaching and learning improvements.
- Commitment to the values of integrity, resilience, and excellence.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with STEM education and its integration across the curriculum.
- Experience in supporting staff professional development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
