The Opportunity:

As the Director of Learning - Mathematics, you will lead the strategic development of the Mathematics curriculum, ensuring that all students achieve their full potential. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of STEM education and inspire both staff and students to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Mathematics curriculum to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Support and mentor Mathematics staff to improve instructional quality and student outcomes.
  • Use data to inform teaching strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular links in STEM.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure all learners achieve their potential.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and professional development within the department.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.
  • Ensure the Mathematics department meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in leading a Mathematics department and delivering outstanding results.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Experience in using data to drive teaching and learning improvements.
  • Commitment to the values of integrity, resilience, and excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with STEM education and its integration across the curriculum.
  • Experience in supporting staff professional development.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
