The Opportunity:

As Chief Education Officer, you will lead the educational vision and strategy for a multi-academy trust, driving improvement and ensuring consistently high standards across all academies. This role is ideal for an experienced education leader who wants to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and school improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic educational leadership across all academies to drive improvement in standards and outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to shape and deliver the Trust’s educational vision and priorities.
  • Lead school improvement initiatives and strengthen leadership capacity across the Trust.
  • Ensure consistently high expectations for all pupils and maintain a culture of care, equity, and inclusion.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of education across all academies to support continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies that support the long-term growth and success of the Trust.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including governors, staff, and local communities.
  • Ensure alignment of all educational practices with the Trust’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven track record of delivering sustained school improvement across multiple settings.
  • Strong strategic insight and leadership skills at executive level.
  • Experience in educational leadership within a multi-academy trust or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading large-scale educational initiatives or transformation programs.
  • Background in early years, primary, secondary, and post-16 education.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and school improvement processes.
  • Strong understanding of current educational policies and trends.
