The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Psychology Teacher to join its Health & Social Sciences faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire and support students in their academic and personal development, while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote high levels of student progress and attainment.
  • Plan, assess, and adapt learning to meet the needs of all students.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and assessment methods to support student achievement.
  • Provide high-quality feedback to students, parents, and carers.
  • Create a safe, positive learning environment with effective behaviour management.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and pastoral support.
  • Support the implementation of High Performance Learning (HPL) strategies across the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching at secondary level, including KS5 (desirable).
  • Strong subject knowledge and effective teaching practice.
  • A track record of supporting student progress and attainment.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with High Performance Learning (HPL) methodologies.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
