The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated Psychology Teacher to join its Health & Social Sciences faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire and support students in their academic and personal development, while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote high levels of student progress and attainment.
- Plan, assess, and adapt learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and assessment methods to support student achievement.
- Provide high-quality feedback to students, parents, and carers.
- Create a safe, positive learning environment with effective behaviour management.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and pastoral support.
- Support the implementation of High Performance Learning (HPL) strategies across the curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Psychology or a related subject.
- Experience teaching at secondary level, including KS5 (desirable).
- Strong subject knowledge and effective teaching practice.
- A track record of supporting student progress and attainment.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with High Performance Learning (HPL) methodologies.
- Experience in pastoral care and student support.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
