Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support school improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Psychology and incorporate them into teaching.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting discipline, good manners, and mutual respect among students.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Psychology education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current pedagogical practices.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire students in the classroom.
  • Commitment to high standards of behavior and attendance.
  • Experience in delivering lessons that meet curriculum requirements and support student progress.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school with a focus on school improvement and inclusion.
  • Familiarity with the Ofsted framework and a track record of achieving positive outcomes.
  • Experience with pastoral care and supporting student well-being.
  • Knowledge of Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or similar qualifications.
