The Opportunity:

A Teacher of Psychology is required to deliver high-quality education and support student success. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student achievement and personal development within a values-driven institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Psychology lessons to students aged 11–16, with potential for post-16 provision.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that reflect best practice in pedagogy, subject knowledge, and assessment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records, including registers, assessments, and student reports.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Psychology curriculum in line with school and national requirements.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and support to students.
  • Uphold the school’s Christian ethos by participating in assemblies, prayers, and other religious activities.
  • Contribute to whole-school events and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Psychology.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and assessments.
  • Ability to manage a class effectively and maintain positive student behavior.
  • Commitment to the school’s Christian ethos and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching students across a range of abilities and ages.
  • Experience in pastoral care or form tutoring.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a subject team.
