Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons to students across multiple key stages, both online and through virtual classroom platforms.
  • Create and curate engaging online learning resources that support student understanding and progression.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs, including those with SEND and mental health challenges.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using a range of assessment methods and provide targeted feedback.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and mentors to enhance the learning experience and support student success.
  • Engage students from varied backgrounds and ensure inclusive, interactive lessons.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in online education and Edtech tools.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and learning materials for Psychology at GCSE and A-level.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching the secondary age range (11-18 years).
  • Experience in teaching groups of students in a virtual environment.
  • Strong diagnostic ability and a passion for guiding student learning.
  • Understanding of assessment requirements and assessment for learning principles.
  • Ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Belief in the value of learning from home and flipped learning models.
  • Competence in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-level.
  • Knowledge of Edexcel International GCSE and A-level CIE specifications.
  • Proven experience in creating innovative online learning content.
  • Experience with Edtech tools and platforms to enhance student engagement.
