The Opportunity:
As a PYP Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme. This position offers the chance to shape curriculum development, mentor teachers, and ensure alignment with international standards, making a meaningful impact on student learning and school operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain PYP curriculum documentation, including the Programme of Inquiry and scope and sequence.
- Ensure adherence to IBO standards and requirements across all PYP-related activities and assessments.
- Monitor and support the quality of teaching and learning through professional development and performance appraisal systems.
- Coordinate and facilitate teacher mentorship, curriculum meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Liaise with IBO and other stakeholders to ensure curriculum compliance and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement policies aligned with the school’s ethos and educational philosophy.
- Support the Principal in daily operations, staffing, and leadership responsibilities.
- Promote a positive school culture and maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education from a recognised university.
- 6–8 years of direct work experience in an international pre-school setting.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the IB PYP curriculum.
- Experience in developing inquiry-driven, play-based curricula.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum planning, delivery, and assessment.
- Background in teacher mentoring and professional development facilitation.
- Familiarity with Reggio Emilia-inspired teaching approaches.
- Experience working in a large, multi-campus international education environment.
