The Opportunity:
As a School Principal, you will lead the strategic direction and daily operations of a school, ensuring alignment with international standards and fostering a dynamic learning environment. This is a pivotal role that shapes the future of education and student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement the school’s strategic direction in line with the Group’s goals.
- Develop and monitor long-term and short-term development plans for the school.
- Oversee the daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Ensure the school environment is well-maintained and equipped for optimal learning.
- Lead curriculum design in collaboration with the Pedagogy team.
- Ensure alignment of the school’s curriculum with the IB standards and practices.
- Coach and support teaching staff to maintain high-quality pedagogy and student assessment.
- Manage staff recruitment, development, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure child safeguarding policies are implemented and followed.
- Allocate students to classes considering age, learning needs, and other relevant factors.
- Maintain strong relationships with parents and the wider community.
- Develop marketing strategies to attract and retain students.
- Manage the school’s financial performance and budgeting.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education.
- 5 years of leadership experience in an International School.
- 8 to 10 years of teaching experience in an International School with preschool and primary children.
- Training and experience in International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP).
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in inquiry-based curriculum.
- International experience, especially in Asia.
- Strong leadership in navigating ambiguity and managing under pressure.
