School Principal - Early Years role in an international education group offering IB and inquiry-based learning.

The Opportunity:

Lead the strategic direction and daily operations of a school offering an inquiry-based curriculum and IB programmes, driving academic excellence and student wellbeing in a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement the school's strategic development plan aligned with the Group’s goals.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and effective school functioning.
  • Lead curriculum design and ensure alignment with IB standards and the Group’s educational framework.
  • Coach and support teaching teams to maintain high-quality pedagogy and student progress.
  • Ensure student records are maintained and child-staff ratios are met for all classes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the parent community through regular and effective communication.
  • Develop and review safeguarding policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance student enrolment and promote the school’s brand.
  • Manage the school’s financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education.
  • 5 years of leadership experience in an International School.
  • 8 to 10 years of teaching experience in an International School with preschool and primary children.
  • Training and experience in International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in inquiry-based curriculum and Reggio Emilia-inspired learning.
  • International experience, especially in Asia.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and work under pressure.
