The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality curriculum from KS3 to KS5. You will inspire students and contribute to the school’s mission of preparing well-rounded individuals ready to make a difference in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an engaging and differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Monitor and support student progress as a form tutor and through regular assessments.
- Foster a learning environment that encourages student achievement and personal development.
- Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and curriculum design.
- Support staff development and participate in professional learning and performance management.
- Maintain accurate records and track student progress effectively.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Manage a form group and contribute to the pastoral care of students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Proven teaching experience at secondary level, ideally in a multi-ethnic urban setting.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment practices at KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a safe and motivating learning environment.
- Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive teaching tools.
- Commitment to high expectations and equality of access for all students.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Background in working within an 11-18 school setting.
- Experience in collaborative professional development and leadership opportunities.
