The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality curriculum from KS3 to KS5. You will inspire students and contribute to the school’s mission of preparing well-rounded individuals ready to make a difference in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver an engaging and differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
• Monitor and support student progress as a form tutor and through regular assessments.
• Foster a learning environment that encourages student achievement and personal development.
• Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and curriculum design.
• Support staff development and participate in professional learning and performance management.
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress effectively.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Manage a form group and contribute to the pastoral care of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Proven teaching experience at secondary level, ideally in a multi-ethnic urban setting.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment practices at KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a safe and motivating learning environment.
• Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive teaching tools.
• Commitment to high expectations and equality of access for all students.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5.
• Background in working within an 11-18 school setting.
• Experience in collaborative professional development and leadership opportunities.
