The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the RE department with a focus on Key Stage 4, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
  • Deliver engaging lessons that inspire students and promote academic achievement
  • Develop and implement innovative curriculum resources aligned with national standards
  • Support student progress through tracking, feedback, and communication with parents
  • Participate in departmental activities, including field trips and enrichment programs
  • Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and promoting positive student behavior

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree in Religious Education or a related discipline
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong knowledge of RE curriculum requirements and exam specifications
  • Excellent organisational and classroom management skills

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership within RE
  • Commitment to personal and professional development
  • Experience with pastoral support and form tutoring
