The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Develop engaging and inclusive curricula that reflect the diverse backgrounds of students.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and personal reflection.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and school-wide initiatives.
  • Support the school’s mission of empowering young women through education and personal development.
  • Participate in staff development and school events, including the EMPOWER programme.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care of students, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience teaching Religious Studies at Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a diverse and inclusive school environment.
  • Familiarity with the EMPOWER charter and related initiatives.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Ability to contribute to extra-curricular and whole-school events.
