The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning and development. You will work closely with class teachers to implement structured learning activities and help students achieve their academic goals. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced TAs or graduates looking to gain experience and potentially progress into Teacher Training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in accessing learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Implement structured learning programmes and activities to enhance student engagement.
- Provide constructive feedback to pupils on their progress and achievement.
- Ensure the learning environment is safe, well-organised, and conducive to effective teaching and learning.
- Assist with classroom management and the organisation of resources and materials.
- Contribute to the overall development of students through positive interaction and encouragement.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support student learning and behaviour.
- Monitor and report on student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Basic knowledge of teaching and learning strategies.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support a range of student needs.
Preferred
- Experience with students across a range of abilities and backgrounds.
- Familiarity with curriculum requirements and assessment practices.
- Experience with Teacher Training or an interest in pursuing it.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
